What does liposomal mean?
Liposomal refers to an advanced nutrient delivery system.
Liposomes are what actually carry the nutrient (in this case, iron) directly to your cells and body tissue. You can think of them as tiny fat-soluble bubbles that encapsulate the iron and mimic the structure of our cell membranes. This allows for enhanced intestinal and cellular absorption.
The liposomes also protect the nutrient from harsh acids (that are typical in our gastro-intestinal tract), while it is being transported to your intestine for absorption.
Recommended Use

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Take a few hours before or after taking other medications or as directed by your physician. Consult healthcare professional before use.

FAQs
Will Ferosom Forte cause any side effects?
Ferosom Forte promises minimal side effects. Unlike most iron supplements, Ferosom has a unique pathway to be absorbed directly into the intestine rather than the stomach. 88% of our consumers that took both sachets and capsules did not experience any symptoms or side effects.
Can I take Ferosom Forte if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
Yes, Ferosom Forte is a safe option and often recommended to take during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. Iron is essential for a healthy pregnancy and can help prevent anemia, premature birth, low birth weight, low milk supply, postpartum depression and other serious complications. Click here to learn more about iron-deficiency during pregnancy and how Ferosom Forte can help.
Why is Ferosom Forte’s dosage lower than most iron supplements?
Ferosom Forte has one of the highest absorption rates for an oral iron supplement. It has been known to have an absorption rate similar to certain doses of IV iron, ensuring most of it is absorbed in your body. Most iron salts or iron complex options have an absorption profile of only 5-10%, which is why they contain higher doses of elemental iron in each serving. Taking less elemental iron with Ferosom Forte is easy on your stomach and with the high absorption, it meets your daily needs.
Who should take Ferosom Forte?
Ferosom Forte was designed for adults struggling with iron deficiency or iron deficiency anemia. We do not recommended Ferosom for children.
What do the capsules taste like?
Ferosom Forte capsules are tasteless. There is no harsh metallic taste like some other iron supplements have.
What do the sachets taste like?
Ferosom's LCE Liposomal Iron sachets are a berry-flavoured powder. We've had many customers say the taste reminds them of a pixie stick. There is no harsh metallic taste like some other iron supplements have.
How should I take the sachets?
There are multiple different ways you can take Ferosom’s sachets. They can be mixed into water, a smoothie/juice or yogurt. Our favourite way to take the sachets is to pour the powder directly into your mouth and let it dissolve. Do not mix Ferosom sachets into any hot beverages/food.
How often should I take Ferosom's LCE Liposomal Iron capsules?
We recommend taking one capsule/sachet daily for optimal iron maintenance and/or treatment of iron deficiency anemia, but everyone’s iron needs are unique. Talk to your doctor before taking an iron supplement to get a custom dosage tailored to your iron needs.
How long does it take for Ferosom to work?
Some customers begin to experience the benefits of Ferosom Forte within the first 4 weeks of taking it. However, this can vary from person-to-person. We recommend taking Ferosom daily for 3 to 6 months to see an improvement in your iron levels.
I have some dietary restrictions, is Ferosom right for me?
It’s super important to us that both Ferosom LCE Liposomal Iron capsules and sachets are non restrictive and fit many different lifestyles. That’s why Ferosom Forte is vegan (dairy-free), gluten-free, soy-free, non GMO, and halal.
